Blueface walked out of an upcoming interview with Funny Marco for his Open Thoughts show.
Marco released a short clip on his Instagram on Monday (Dec. 4). Marco captioned the post, claiming that the interview was brief due to the rapper abruptly walking off set.
“This interview was only 30 seconds. Thanks, smh, dropping this Saturday,” he typed. The teaser picks up with the comedian asking Blue, “Why can’t you rap on the beat?”
The California native then takes a deep breath before sitting forward, asking, “Which song do you think I’m off beat?” After he could not provide songs, the West Coast artist asked him to name three of his songs. If the comedian couldn’t rattle off songs, Blueface warned him that “this f**kin’ interview is over.”
Marco, with a straight face, began listing song titles. “Bust down, Thotiana,” Marco answered. “Bust Down, Thotiana, featuring Cardi B—” Blueface then got up and left when he realized that the only song he could allude to was “Thotiana.”
Marco has had an interview go left before. An October episode of Open Thoughts featuring Southside and G Herbo went off the rails after they disrespected him.
Marco can be seen struggling to stay in character as he’s berated, insulted, and belittled by the two Hip-Hop artists. He then becomes visibly “uncomfortable” as he attempts to keep the show going. Southside and Herbo appear to make fun of his skin condition and tell him to “shut the f**k up” at various points in the episode. In the aftermath, Marco addressed the “disrespectful” interview.
“I understand a lot of y’all mad about the interview. I was upset while it was going on. But I understand I got a job to do & one thing about me, I respect people on my show,” he wrote on his Marco Mindset Facebook account.
“I didn’t want to match they Energy. It’s so many L’s I took on my Journey I wish I could show I don’t hide anything. So I feel it was only right to put the episode out myself. And just learn from that episode & move on. Thank who support me it’s a mindset thing.”
